The Locavore (Local-eater) is Stirling’s fantastic award winning Wine and Tapas Bar based on the principles of the “100 Mile Diet”. Wherever possible everything we serve is grown or produced within a 100 mile radius.

The Locavore is a showcase of the best food and beverage that this amazing region has to offer. Situated 20 minutes up the freeway at the entrance to the beautiful Adelaide Hills, Stirling is full of character and old residences designed for Adelaide ‘nobility’ to escape the summer heat.
After 2 years of living local we won the prestigious SA Great regional tourism awards for ‘Restaurant and catering services’, finalists for the Restaurant and Catering Assoc ‘Best new restaurant’. Locavore is also the oxford Dictionary new word of the year for 2007.
A recent Australian survey by Choice Magazine found that the average basket of food has traveled up to 70,000 kms, or 3 times around the world!
